1980年代のインディアナ州を舞台で、主人公は中学生くらいの少年、少女である。
もうシーズン２が公開されたそれも一挙に最後まで。
シーズン！での疑問は、
エルはどこに行ったのか？ 異次元の世界に行ったがウィルはその後も元気なのだろうか？
そして研究所にいるモンスターはどうなったか？ナンシーとスティーヴの恋の行方は？
ウィルはまだ時々不思議な幻覚を見ていた。エルは 保安官のジムに匿われていた。
今回の中心は、エル（イレブン）だ。そしてウィルの出演回数も多い。逆にマイクは今回はバックである。
エルは自分の本当の母親を突き止める。そして本当のな名前を知る。ジェーンである。
ダスティンは、不思議な生物を見つけて家で育てるのだが、急激に大きくなっていく。（このデマゴーゴンは、
エイリアンのような他のSF映画で出ていた怪獣のようなデザインである）
超自然現象と超能力を研究する研究所付近では、農作物が腐る、特にカボチャが腐ってしまう不思議な出来事がおきていた。
今回の物語の展開はいいテンポで進んでいて、退屈しない。９話を一気に見てしまった。非常によくできているし、ところどころで流れる80年代の音楽がまたいい。
最後のスノーボールのダンスシーンでは最後はポリスの見つめていたいだ！！これで決まり。
番組の始まりの音楽はタンジェリン・ドリームに影響されている。
E.T. , 遊星からの物体X, エルム街の悪夢, MADMAXなどのオマージュがふんだんに使われるし

Nancy and Jonathan swap conspiracy theories with a new ally as Eleven searches for someone from her past. "Bob the Brain" tackles a difficult problem.
