Star Trek: Discovery スタートレック:ディスカバリー 2017

9話からなる第一章は2017年11月12日に配信が終了しているのでまずは、これまでの感想にする。
スタートレックの第一作、宇宙大作戦、の約10年前に時代が設定されている。今回は珍しく宇宙船の副長マイケル・バーナムが主人公であり、それも黒人女性である。
そして反乱罪に問われて階級を剥奪、終身刑だったところを、U.S.S.ディスカバリーの船長ガブリエル・ロルカに見出され、USSディスカバリーに乗務となる。
主人公マイケル・バーナムが宇宙艦隊始まって以来の反逆罪が決定した犯罪者でそれも女性なのがすごい。今までのスタートレックにはなかった設定でとても面白い。そしてクリンゴンとの開戦から描いているのがまた興味深い。
そして今まで疑問だった、船長が常に新しい惑星に降りて危険と対峙してきた設定と違い、乗務員であるマイケル・バーナムが派遣されることが多いのでその設定が納得できる。
マイケル・バーナム、ポール・スタメッツ、ガブリエル・ロルカ、サルー、シルビア・ティリーくらいしか活躍していない。
その中でもデッキの乗員の活躍が少ないのが残念。 逆にクリンゴンの内部紛争についてよく描かれている。
ただワープ飛行ではない胞子を用いた新しい移動手段というのはどうなんだろう、それ以降の宇宙大作戦にも出てこないものだが。
それに船内でワープできるようになるのはもっと後の時代のことらしい。時に使われている。
ハリー・マッドの"正気を狂気に変えるマジック"の話はつまらない。もうタイプループの話は何か新しい設定でないと。
